Amy Nelson has waved the Canadian flag on stages all over the world.
With her hometown of Regina, Saskatchewan as a springboard, she has risen into the spotlight as an award-winning singer/songwriter,
energetic performer and multi-enterprise businesswoman.
Amy has performed across the globe at events such as the Calgary
Stampede (CAN), Gympie Music Muster (AUS) and Canada Day at Trafalgar Square (UK). She has showcased at conferences such as AmericanaFest, Canadian Music Week, JunoFest, and Australian Music Week. With a special place in her heart for Australia, this “Canadian boomerang,” had her first two singles reach Top 10 on Australian’s KIX Country Music Network.
Amy’s international efforts have been recognized back home, on the floor of the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly and in a 2018 JUNO Awards video featuring FACTOR-funded Canadian artists who have achieved notable success abroad. She has collected over 45 Saskatchewan Country Music Award nominations and was named the 2018 SCMA Entertainer of the Year.
In 2018, Amy created Export Entertainment, a company forging
international exchanges between artists in Canada and other countries. This former high school music teacher also empowers the next generation of artists through her music school “Sing Like A STAR” which has five locations and has encouraged more than 2,500 young musicians to grow in confidence and follow their dreams.
