Kim Yang

Inspired by Joni Mitchell and Bon Iver, Taiwanese-Australian songstress Kim Yang writes music on love, life and mental health issues with evocative lyrics, driving melodies and soaring vocals. Her ethereal blend of sounds balances delicately between vulnerability and power.
Kim has supported and shared the stage with ARIA awarded artists including Katie Noonan, Josh Pyke, Ben Lee, Kate Ceberano, Fanny Lumsden and StiffGins. Kim has serenaded audience with her crosscultural stories and genuine stage presence at bigs gigs and festivals, including the National Folk Festival (AUS) and Sydney Folk Festival (AUS) this year.
Since 2019 Kim has released 2 EPs and received various grants from ArtACT, including to produce her upcoming new project. Her music has been aired regularly on Double J radio and premiered on triple J.
Kim is looking to expand herself skills as a songwriter and a home producer. Kim has been co-writing with various artists, including Katie Wighton (All Our Exes lives in Texas) and working on a few self-produced songs for her upcoming release.
